Player of the Year - Season 4
PlayerTeamBy the numbers
Gary "Garrote" BrownYellowknife Perpetrators2 CMP, 14 TDs, 1 CAS, 2 MVP, 56 SPP - Any player in the league would be happy to post the numbers that Gary racked up for Yellowknife. The fact that he is a Goblin just makes it even more amazing. The chants of “Gary, Gary. Gary” not only fill the Perpetrators home games, but have begun to emerge at opponent fields. Football star, playboy, media darling, Gary’s got it all going for him.
Player of the Month - Season 4
PlayerTeamBy the numbers
1Gary "Garrote" BrownYellowknife Perpetrators6 TDs - Week after week Gary Brown finds new ways to score in situations that seem beyond silly. He's either very brave or very stupid, but either way, the fans seem to love his antics! (Co-winner)
1Sandrine MalamutQuebec Black Carnival7 CAS (in 3 games) - One of the league all-time greats. Equal parts fearsome killer, massive target and swimsuit calendar favourite. R.I.P. Sandrine Malamut. (Co-winner)
2Balor EarthbreakerDumpsville Goal Miners1 CMP, 7 TDs - He is the quarterback of the best team in the league. During the past month they won all four games, then outscored their opponents 9-2 and out-CASed them 18-0. They were the best team...and Balor was their best player. Hard to argue with the facts!
3Leap for the Lulz!Calgary Vanquishers5 TDs, 1 CMP - With five TDs in addition to a pass and CAS, he is an all around dominating vampire that has risen to a key role in his first season with the team.
4Jim CroodeRottawa Rough Risers15 CAS, 1 CMP - Croode had 15 casualties on 46 blocks. One third of the time you got hit by Croode you were not getting up. That doesn't even factor all the KOs he caused. He also became the league's first and only legend to date, never missing a game in the process. Sometimes, even reluctantly, you have to honour greatness.
4AzarBC Felions9 CAS, 1 TD, 1 MVP - Azar had to carry the whole team after BC lost their other star blitzer, Worthless. She stepped up and did whatever it took to ensure BC made the playoffs down the final stretch of the season.
Player of the Week - Season 4
PlayerTeamBy the numbers
1Gary "Garrote" BrownYellowknife Perpetrators2 TDs - Gary "Garrote" Brown was the key player for both the offence and defense for Yellowknife. Stealing a loose ball in the first half to score, then taking the ball on offence and avoiding everything the other team could throw at him.
2Gary "Garrote" BrownYellowknife Perpetrators2 TDs - With Yellowknife's chances fading fast, Gary surfed a BOB, dodged through the defense and recovered the ball, then in a valiant effort surged through the entire Orc team for a TD. He added another on a perfect TTM TD to turn a defeat into another rousing victory!
3Leap for the Lulz!Calgary Vanquishers1 CMP, 3 TDs - After being down early, Leap sparked the comeback by throwing for a TD to complete a 2 turn score before the half, then dominating the second half - he scored three times to turn a 0-1 beat-down into a 4-1 victory!
4Vinny "Vandal" SmithYellowknife Perpetrators4 CAS - This efficient and deadly blitzer is the official enforcer for Yellowknife and it was his hard hits (4 CAS on just 7 blocks) that helped to thin the vampire numbers enough to control the game and lead to another win!
5Brendan DunnWinnipeg Claw Bombers2 CAS (both RIPs) - Saskatchewan lost two players in this game - both dead - a rotter and a 3 skill nurgle warrior. Both were killed by Mr. Duh-duh-Dunn!
6Greg BattleWinnipeg Claw Bombers1 TD, 2 CAS - Winnipeg put a beat-down on them goblins. Greg Battle was reported to have been looking forward to this game for a long time - with good reason.
7Kate LamCalgary Vanquishers4 CAS - After scoreless first half, Kate took over in the game in the second, breaking the jaw of the best QC Blitzer and smashing the collar bone of a guard line Elf to clear the path to score. She then preserved the win by killing the Witch Elf Miranda to secure the ball and allow Calgary to win 2-0.
8Vicki NelsonCalgary Vanquishers1 CMP, 1 TD, 1 CAS - All around great play, she stopped the goblins from scoring at critical moments and managed to turn a game that should have been a loss into a draw with fantastic second half heroics.
9Leap for the Lulz!Calgary Vanquishers1 CAS & 2 TDs - Leading the charge for a much needed victory as she inflicted a key CAS and scored twice to show she belongs among the hero vampires of Calgary.
10Sandy McMasterHamilton Tomb Cats1 CAS - Sandy helped to lead the charge of knocking dwarves off the pitch and controlling the play, which lead to the victory over their previously undefeated opponent.
11Brendon LaBatteWinnipeg Claw Bombers1TD, 2 CAS - LaBatte's last game was the game of his life. He rushed for 10 yards to score is first TD and caused two casualties on 8 blocks. Unfortunately he was struck by a rock thrown by a fan and died instantly.
12Morg'n'ThorgNorth York Bears1 CAS, 1 INT - Morg helped North York to draw with BC by picking off one pass, beating up a bunch of girls, and being an all around badass!
13WorthlessBC Felions3 CAS - She repeatedly KOed and inured opponents, even causing an RIP. Worthless was on fire and played a major part in a blowout of a game, which was over early in the first half.
14Jim CroodeRottawa Rough Risers5 CAS, 1 CMP - Croode became the first ever league legend, doing it in style by killing a terrified Goblin. He has played every single game for the team, more than anyone in CFFL history. To top it off he made an amazing pass to save the game. (co-winner)
14Game MisconductBrandon Cheat Kings2 TD - Game Misconduct, the fearless Goblin who scored two high-flying touchdowns in 2 turns, plucking the ball from under the claws of a werewolf both times. (co-winner)
15Mortimer "The Bold" JamesYellowknife Perpetrators3 CAS - Yellow Knife did what most have failed to do this season, beat Edmonton, and beat them badly no less. Known primarily as a thrower, Mortimer stepped up and beat down Dwarves on the way to a 3-0 rout.
16MaksNorth York Bears2 CAS - In a game that featured no less than eight serious injuries and a death, Maks was the decider. He emerged from the pile of blood and bodies triumphant in a North York win.
17Milt StegalWinnipeg Claw Bombers4 CAS - Milt took Yellow Knife to the woodshed and then some. Still recovering from hurricane Lam, YK took it on the chin once more.
