In every sport there are those who rise above the rest to become the fan favourites. Some through their unparallelled skill, others via their notorious on pitch antics or rugged good looks. Whatever the reason, they bring in the crowds; to cheer, to boo, and to toss rocks and other large objects onto the pitch. While some say it is impossible to truly measure the greatness of a player, we say, ..of course it is. Greatness in the CFFL is achieved by earning, buying, bribing, or double crossing your way to a coveted Player of the Week (POW), Player of the Month (POM), or the revered Player of the Year (POY) honours. Additionally, some players try to fast track their way to infammy by killing and maiming established stars. This more brutal method of gaining fan favour is known as collecting Bounties (Bty).
Points are given for each weekly award: POW - 1 point, POM - 2 points, and POY 3 - points.
A player that kills or retires any other player with two (2) or more fan points receives 1 point.
Any player who has attained seven (7) points or more will be given the Fan Favourite skill.
