Open [L]eague! - CPOMB nerfs + right stuff buffs!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Coaches,

The Open [L]eague Cup is now well under way but our O[L]C Champions have been out of action for a while. In a change to previous seasons coaches will need to engage in 'open league' play to earn a crack at the champs.

The O[L]C Old World (Euro timezones) and New World (Americas/Australasia time zones) Free For Alls are house ruled open round robin leagues.

The leagues last just over three weeks. They may be played as standalone leagues or as a step on the road to the O[L]C Heavyweight and Middleweight championships.

The leagues will have two divisions. Novice (1150TW) and Open weight (No TW limit)

If too few teams apply to be able to run a Novice division only an Open division will run where new(ish) teams may join this division but they should mainly play each other until they have grown in TV.

Play any opponent in your division in any order at any time. Schedule games in advance if you find that easier. (your best 8 results count).

Four leading teams will progress to the playoffs to become Old or New World Champions.

The champions will have the privilege of challenging for the O[L]C Heavyweight Championship. You will need to play at least 4 games to be considered, after all not just anyone gets a shot at the champs. Playoff teams may compete for the Middleweight Championship if they are below 1600TV otherwise they may challenge for the Heavyweight Championship.

Points are awarded as follows:
Win = 4, Draw = 2, Defeat = 1.

The following house rules will be in effect for all O[L]C events until unless otherwise stated.

House Rules.
1. Fouling +1 to armour roll.
2. Claw does not stack with other skills that modify armour rolls.
3. Piling On allows coach to reroll injury only.
4. Right Stuff prevents the Tackle skill when blocked.
5. Sneaky Git functions like Guard on foul assists.
6. Banned sneaky git players are sent to the KO box instead.

Sign up NOW! The season kicks off when we have 12 teams. Initially TWO teams per coach are allowed per division.
More may be allowed if there is space.

O[L]C Old World (Euro timezones) or New World (Americas/Australasia time zones).

The old Free For all group will be cleared in preparation for the new season.
If you were signed up you may need to sign up again.

Hi Coaches,

The Open [L]eague Cup is now well under way. We're now looking at a change to the route to the O[L]C Championship.

The current contenders will still get their crack.

To earn a crack at the O[L]C World Heavyweight Champion you must first become either O[L]C Old World (Euro timezones) or New World (Americas/Australasia time zones) Champion.

This involves playing a roughly three week open round robin "Free For All". Four leading teams will go forward to challenge for the title. Your best 8 results count. You'll need to play at least 4 games to be considered.

The league will have two divisions. Novice (1150TW) and Open weight (No TW limit)
If too few teams apply to be able to run a novice division only an Open division will run. New(ish) teams may join this division but mainly play each other until they have grown in TV.

More may be allwed if there is space.
