League Dice Rolls can be reviewed here

Discussion thread is on [http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3695129]The Something Awful Forums (Requires forum membership to view)
If you see a discrepancy between this page and the thread, go with whatever the thread says. I put more effort into it. And it has pictures.

Apologies for the mess- I'll need to go through and fix a lot of the BBCode since FUMBBL works differently than the SA Forums. Again, refer to the forums if something seems wrong here.

League Rules

*** RULE #1 - 1d3 SKILL ROLLS ***
-- When a player levels, choose 3 skills currently available to them (and/or stat-ups, counting +MA and +AV as separate; Stat-Ups are ALWAYS allowed in your 1d3 roll!) and assign each of them to one side of a 3 sided dice.
-- Once a player has rolled for a skill, regardless of whether or not they got it, they may not roll for that skill again (again, Stat-Ups are the exception and are ALWAYS allowed in your 1d3 roll!).
-- If a player has leveled enough times to exhaust all possible skills, then they may include those previously-rolled-on skills in their level-up rolls again.
-- Roll the die and surrender yourself to Nuffle's will.

*** RULE #2 - 3 SKILL LIMIT ***
-- Teams may not have more than 3 of any one (non-extraordinary) skill on their roster.
-- All Teams: Thick Skull is considered an extraordinary skill.
-- Slann: Very Long Legs and Leap are considered extraordinary skills.
-- Simyins: Extra Arms is considered an extraordinary skill.
-- Lizardmen: May field any number of Skinks. Lizardmen may never roll for dodge on skill-ups.
-- Vampires: Not allowed despite not breaking this rule.

Note: This rule prevents the use of these teams: Amazons, Chaos, Dwarves, Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Norse, and Underworld.

*** RULE #3 - RE-ROLLS ***
-- You may NOT purchase Re-Rolls at team creation.
-- You may have 1 re-roll for every 100/300/700 combined games played (add up the "Games Played" stats for all your current players) among the players currently on your roster. If that number drops below 100/300/700, you must fire a re-roll.

This rule exists not just because I am a Blood Bowl sadist, but because it makes for faster games, makes experienced teams' development more challenging, and builds team history as players with permanent injuries and bloaty, unlucky skill rolls tend to stick around longer when they're contributing to your re-roll count.
Re-rolls are a heresy anyways. If Nuffle wanted you to succeed at dice rolls he wouldn't give you shit dice to begin with.

How To Roll

*** Team Selection ***
-- Go to http://orokos.com (Register an account if you don't already have one).
-- Click on the "Dice Roller" tab on the top.
-- Click on "Roll Some Dice"
-- For Character put "Team Selection"
-- For Campaign put "3SL" (This is what you will put for every roll (so you can't re-roll your results like a try-hard baby)
-- For Description put your 3 team choices: "1 FirstTeamName, 2 SecondTeamName, 3 ThirdTeamName"
-- For Dice to roll put "1d3". (This will always be 1d3)

It should look like this, but with your own team preferences.

Rolling for Skills:
-- Go to http://orokos.com
-- Click the "Dice Roller" tab on the top.
-- Click on "Roll Some Dice"
-- For Character put "PlayerName - PositionName"
-- For Campaign put "3SL". (Again, this will never change).
-- For Description put your 3 skill choices: "1 FirstSkillName, 2 SecondSkillName, 3 ThirdSkillName"
-- For Dice to roll put 1d3. (Again, this will always be 1d3).

It should look like this, but with your own player and skill choices.

League Format

*** PART 1 - OFF-SEASON ***

The Off-Season begins as soon as the previous Season's LuckerBowl is finished.

New coaches may post their applications to the league throughout the off-season and they do not participate in Free Agency.
IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST SEASON, SKIP THE REST OF THIS STUFF AND SCROLL DOWN TO "*** PART 2 - REGULAR SEASON ***"

Returning Coaches who want to Re-Roll their team
-- Roll 1d3 for a new team (DO NOT include any team(s) you played with in a previous season!)
-- Post a Link to your team roll.
-- Choose 3 players on your old roster for a 1d3 Roll. The resulting player may be made on your new team. Their new position must have at least 1 Normal Skill Category in common with the Position you rolled. (ie if you rolled Dark Elf Blitzer, you can make them into any position with normal G and/or normal A access)
-- Transfer that player's skill roll history (and name and portrait!) to their new profile. Any time that player levels and is eligible for any of those previously-won skills or stat-ups, they must choose one of them.
-- Wait for the regular season. Re-rolling coaches do not participate in Free Agency.

Free Agency
-- See the 'Free Agency' tab for more details

*** PART 2 - REGULAR SEASON ***
- Divisions will consist of 9-17 players.
- Teams play 8 games in the regular season within their division.
- Once the regular season starts, everyone has THREE weeks to play all of their games.
- Open Round-Robin format. Play who you want to, when you can.
- Games are organized in #tgbloodbowl on synirc.
- Top 4 teams from each division will go to the playoffs.
- Tie-Breakers are (1st) Head-To-Head Record, (2nd-NEW!!!) First to complete their 8 games

*** PART 3 - PLAYOFFS ***
- Playoffs will consist of a championship game (The LuckerBowl) and a number of qualifying rounds equal to the number of divisions.
- Deadline for each round will be 1 week from the end of the regular season/previous round.
- Coaches are encouraged to schedule these matches so that others can spectate.
- Spectators will vote on the LuckerBowl MVP in the client. The recipient will be able to include a skill he already rolled for in his next skill roll.

Once you've played all of your games for the season (including playoffs, if applicable) do any final required skill rolls and leave your team in "P" status and standby for the Off-Season. This is a PERSISTENT league, so don't play games outside of it with this team, and don't deviate from the rules when choosing skills.

Free Agency
During Free Agency, coaches will have an opportunity to steal players from other teams. The more successful your team, the harder it will be to protect all of your precious pixels from other coaches.

*** STEP 1 - SALARY POINTS ***
-- Salary Points are the currency coaches will use to bid on players. To generate Salary Points, coaches declare players "eligible" for Free Agency.

Eligible Player SPP / Salary Points
0-5 SPP / 1 Point (automatically give you Salary Points, you do not need to list these players when declaring eligibility as they cannot be bid on.)
6-15 SPP / 2 Points
16-30 SPP / 4 Points
31-50 SPP / 8 Points
51-75 SPP / 16 Points
76+ SPP / 32 Points

-- Subtract your Fan Factor from the total Salary Points you've generated. The result is how many Salary Points you have for Bidding.
-- You cannot have a negative result. Coaches must generate enough Salary Points to at least equal their fan factor.
-- KEEP YOUR LIST OF ELIGIBLE PLAYERS SECRET! PM your list of eligible players to (TBD) on IRC.
-- Don't include the names of 0-5 SPP players in this PM. They contribute to your salary points but cannot be bid on and so are not important for the next part. If you aren't declaring any players with 6+ SPP eligible, then let (TBD) know that. Once all players have messaged (TBD), we will move on to the next step.

*** STEP 2 - Bidding ***
-- All coaches participating in Free Agency will be invited to a Group PM on FUMBBL
-- Once each of these coaches has submitted to (TBD) their list of 6+ SPP eligible players, those lists will be made public.
-- Bidding will start with the highest SPP players.
-- Bidding on a player will end when the last bid goes 48 hours without response (or, preferably, if the players able to bid pass.)
-- Bid as many or as few Salary Points as you like, but once you bid you may only ever increase the amount, never decrease.
-- You may bid on your own players.
-- If two coaches bid the same amount, tie-breakers are as follows: (1) Coach currently in possession of the player, (2) Coach with lower standing at end of last season (after playoffs).
-- Bidding ends once all players, in order of standing beginning with the reigning Champion, have declared that they are done bidding.

*** STEP 3 - PLAYER TRANSFER ***
-- The coach with the winning bid on a player at the end of the week must create that player on their roster. Their new position must have at least 1 Normal Skill Category in common with their previous Position.
-- Transfer that player's skill roll history (and name and portrait!) to their new profile. Any time that player levels and is eligible for any of those previously-won skills or stat-ups, they must take one of them.
-- Once this is done, the old coach removes that player from their roster.

Any leftover Salary Points at the end of Week 3 may be saved for next off-season. Each point will again count as a 0-5 SPP player for purposes of meeting/exceeding Fan Factor.
Bios & Profiles

*** Tracking Skill Counts and Games Played on your Roster ***

Current Roster Games Played: ###
You can paste this into your team bio and update it after every game and skill-up.
Skill Count
Skill:#
Skill:#
Skill:#

For games played, you'll still need to count those up yourself. This just gives other coaches, at a glance, an idea of how your team is progressing.
For Skills, replace "Skill" with a skill name and "#" with however many instances of that skill are on your roster. It should look like this (ugly):

*** Tracking Skill Rolls on Player Profiles ***
If you like IF YOU WANT TO APPEASE NUFFLE, you can keep track of your past skill rolls on each player's profile by copying and pasting this code directly into it:

Skill Rolls
LevelSkill 1Skill 2Skill 3
6 SPPSkillSkillSkill
16 SPPSkillSkillSkill
31 SPPSkillSkillSkill
51 SPPSkillSkillSkill
76 SPPSkillSkillSkill
176 SPPSkillSkillSkill

Just replace the word "Skill" with whatever your choices were once you completed your roll. You can check back and consider your options the next time that player levels-up. You can also strikeout the skills you whiffed on and bold the one your player received.
It will look like this:

This may be mandatory in the future, so take the time to figure out how to do it now.

*** FUMBBL Tutorial - How To Create an Account and Join a League ***
Here is an edutainment video which will help you to FUMB if you are illiterate I guess.

These skills don't count against the 3-of-any-one-Skill-per-roster limit.
