“1st turn, my block/guard blitzer was badly hurt! Took a chance... Apo succeeded, and suffered nothing worse than 1 KO for the rest of the game!
Otherwise it was a story of kickoffs - they basically went my way all game (FF will do that) and set me up pretty well for scooping the ball up and running it home. I don't think the Giants managed to get the ball over the half way line thanks to near enough every kickoff going against them, which is sad cause the Giants coach is a great sport.
Most of his team spent time in the dugout at one stage or another - I did more crowdpushes than usual simply because that's the way the dice fell.
For the Giants, 56% luck with only 1 RR is pretty good, for me, 62% and not using a single RR in the second half tells a different story.
The best of the five TDs came from 3 squares from my own EZ. Passer ran, hand off to catcher, ran full length, short pass to free Blitzer who GFI twice to score, whilst the Giants were tied up wanting to kick the stuffing out of Sy Bur Dine, who had an 'off game' for him, with not even a TD to his name.
Everyone else got in on the act though, Zug was near useless with but a single KO, though he soaked up some hits, and 27 spp gives a reflection of the way things went.
Game played in good spirits, no fouling, no whining, though I was sat goggle eyed when my opponent pulled off 1db all game, and I failed in H1 T8 to 2db (rr) and 1db, giving me a chance to score another late on to make it 3-0 at the time. Skulls came up for those, but I can't complain, having the kickoffs basically gave me the game.
No obvious flaws in the Giants tactics, I just think they need to get some kind of fan base, and Rerolls stash built up, quick!
Solahama, Giants Coach, wants an Ogre instead!
NUTTA!
:D
Hope you get your Ogre and have some fun with him at someone elses expense mate :)
Cheers!”
