“Funbbl Crew beats one of top wood elf teams! Coach and players go wild! <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=256748">Cusi</a> seen passionately hugging <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=267575">Trog</a>! <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=256751">Mnemon</a> roaring drunk after match!
The Crew played an awesome first half, and though they conceded their first TD rather quickly and easily, they took one back fast, while slamming elves into the dug-out. The second wood-elf TD was harder fought, but it too, came, leaving the orcs very little time indeed to score. However, <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=256758">Silver</a> and <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=256759">Locutus</a> went deep fast, while Mnemon got the ball out of the Crew's own end-zone. The elves swarmed in, but some clever pushing around freed Silver to accept the ball from Gorritakid, who got passed the ball by Mnemon - and it was two all at the half.
The Crew, then vastly superior in numbers, started off the second half. Mnemon fetched the ball, then suddenly found himself face to face with a war-dancer! But he hung on to the leather, and passed it upfield. At that point, Berek's Boys went down to four elves. The one remaining wardancer got <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=256756">Gorritakid</a> down against huge odds, but following this he was fouled by <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=261470">Bendrig</a> and got knocked out. No wardancers left, which meant the Crew sat around the end-zone for a picknick and waitied till the very final seconds of the match before scoring.
"I were jus' toyin' wif 'im. I saw der ball wud be safe, so I prertenderd ter fall ovah and drop der ball. I got it back, tho." - The amazing Gorritakid.
"Ouch. Ouch, ouch, ouch." - <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=262054">Indûr</a> on what it feels like to die on the first block of the match - thankfully the Crew's apoth was there from the very first seconds and saved him!
"I cin pass as gud as any elf." - Mnemon about the fact that he made the most passes this match, while the Crew played an elf team.
"No liddle elf cin stop me frum scorin' if'n I wants ter." - <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=256757">Candlejack</a>, who knocked aside an elf by himself to score the Crew's first touch-down of the match.
The Funbbl Crew is solid as a rock!

As an aside, Berek's Boys have managed to beat two of my best teams - the Brave Companions at their peak, and my 9/0/0 dwarf team. The Brave Companions should have won it, after the first four rounds went my way completely, but then the dice decided otherwise. My dwarves just got outrun so badly it wasn't funny. This time, the cas went my way, and Bendrig's infamous - to me at least - lucky Blitzes didn't come through - except once, when he got two pows on my Blitzer where I chose the die... But with four elves left he had trouble securing the scatter, which meant I could recover it. It took a shameless stall - I won't risk scoring with 5 players in the KO box, they might come back and beat me yet! - but I took it to 3 - 2 in turn eight. Yay! My honour has been reinstated! Go the Crew!”

Figured I'd write that down before I forgot it again.
Besides that, this was a good game. one of the first in a long time where our luck was equal, instead of mine far outstripping Mez's.
And hey, I got a really nice catcher out of it, Move 11, str 1. Ain't she cute?
Though perhaps I should have used the apoth, instead of benching him all game.
