“The Volvo's paid a price but they won a game...
The first drive of the Gentle Souls got bogged down due to ball-handling problems between Grandma and Grandpa. They paniced when the Volvo's jumped them. Grandma transported ball back behind the lines but fell over her own walking stick and dropped it again.
Sjolf the Basher gathered all his courage and managed to knock down the Ogre. This left a hole so Onund the Arm could recuperate the ball. A chaotic slugfest over possession of the ball erupted. Minotaur and Ogre joined but only got themselves into trouble, bringing their respective coaches to the edge of nervous breakdown. The ball bounced between the camps but eventually Geirr Bonkers escaped with it and pulled off a touchdown at the last minute.
Second half, the Volvo's quickly got into trouble when their Mino messed up. They got overrun and tried to escape along the border of the field.
The Mino messed up again and the ballcarrier ended up in the crowd.
The Gentle Souls recuperated the ball and merrily got on their way, meanwhile having a strong advantage in numbers.
But the Volvo's didn't give up. With some luck, the few Norse that were left managed to knock the ballcarrier over... three times in a row... Eventually
time ran out on the Souls and it stayed 1-0.”
