“This was my first match vs. Ogres ever, and I went into this match with a game plan of always threatening his TD zone taking advantage of my higher MA. Secondly, I planned to take his Gobbos out of the match early, to ensure a win even if his Ogres beat my team to death.
As the match evolved, I realized quickly that RubenG have played opponents with that plan before -hiding his Gobbos behind those hard hitting (Guard skilled) Ogres, making it a personal suicide to even try taking them out of the match.
Because of this, I never felt sure this match would be a win, and I had to play on the edge of what's healthy for my furry friends -conceding 5 casualties while inflicting none. Luckily, I had some lucky rolls each time I tried counter attack his sluggish squad, scoring 3 TDs.
The game was much more even than the final result indicates, and I'm praising the Horned Rat for letting all my players survive the beating.
Thanks for a fun and bloody experience, my Gutter (Atomic Housepet) actually got +1 ST as his skill roll.... oh yeah baby!!!!
RubenG is a fair coach that didn't foul my fragile players neither before nor after I had used my APO, and he uses his team's strength wisely -making it hard to get in any good blocking opportunities.
Next time I play Ogres, I'll make sure to have 15-16 players in my squad, hehehehehe, because they do cause some serious damage to an AV 7 team!”
“Game 3 vs a Skaven team and yeah typical result. Damn Gutter Runners !!!
Great game marvels, I hit you with everything I had and you still swarmed my Ogres and played with fearless intent to keep scoring without an apothecary.
Well played. ”
