The Girls started in offence and the freebooted Count soon had the ball. The Falcons manage to knock the ball from the Count twice and stole the ball and scored.

The Girls next drive struggled and they did not look like scoring until the Falcons rerolled a two dice block on their only scorer in range and netted double skulls!

At half time the scores were thus 1-1.

The second half started with a pitch invasion stunning 5 players on both teams!

Things then went really ugly.

The Girls caused a niggle on a Falcons player making them use their apothecary. The Falcons then snake-eyed a dodge giving the Girls a chance to hit their ball carrier if he could dodge against Diving Tackle. The Werewolf failed and was KOd. The Falcons then dropped an easy 2+ catch.

The Girls recovered the ball with a lucky bounce and lucky catch (4+) before losing it again to the Falcons who ran in a TD to take a 2-1 lead giving the Girls 5 turns to reply.

The Falcons snaked a GFI to give the Girls free reign to cage the ball with the Count near the LOS.

The Falcons attacked the cage and put pressure on it, and the Girls ran the ball backwards but dropped a backfield catch.

The Falcons got to the ball, but failed a GFI on the pick up attempt. With time runing out, the Falcons changed strategy and instead tried to defend the downfield players rather than attacking the Count who had the ball again (I could manage a 1 dice blitz with Frenzy).

On the final turn, the Girls got a Werewolf to the end zone and the Count ran the ball forwards, handing off to an AG3 Zombie who needed two GFI to get to a Long Pass (to avoid a 5+ intercept chance too) but he failed his first GFI and the Falcons did not have to try to win in overtime.

Quite a close match. Made extremely difficult by my two Throwers both failing their niggle rolls heh. I could not get a single cas buy my opponent got 2. It coulda been worse, but luckily the Falcons got through with no permanent injuries and in full strength for the final.”
