“Indeed, as the sun sets and the dust settles at the close of each SWL season, a different dawn arrises (sure, it’s bit murky, but it’s dawn anyway) where two worlds collide yet again. Thus the remnant forces of evil gather to subdue the forces of goodness and niceness (ugh!) on the hallowed Blood Bowl turf. Welcome to the 100 years war (or was that the phoney war?).
As the first foray in this much hoped for off-season feud, it was the Chaos Pact that devised a decisive victory. A mighty stroke caused Tahmas Gladerunner (WD) to momentarily see a bright light at the end of the tunnel, but alas the Steeler’s apothecary sucked him back from the brink with deep (leech?) magic.
As for the game, it consisted on many fumbles, and new orc thrower recruit Worryn failed to deliver the much hoped for throwing game. He has vowed to keep working on his game, and Steeler spies at his practice sessions reported a marked improvement to his throwing accuracy.”
“Thus begins the rivalry between the Steelers and the Marauders. (I assume we'll let these teams constantly bash at each other for generstions to come ... or the end of the world ... which is sometime next week) The Marauders got the upper hand to the Steelers thanks to a lucky Blitz and managed to hang on to the lead.
To be honest these Allansians looked more like a one man show with the Wardancer pretty much running the game for the Old World. GroveKeeper the Treeman dealt some tough blocks but often needed an assistant for any effectiveness. The rest of the team didn't preform anything special.
We'll get ya next game.”
