“This was the strangest game I have played so far, although well played on both sides. Because of the superiour human skills, we desperately needed to knock out or injure several of them. In an unbelievable display of inefficiency, it took us about 27 armor rolls to even get the first KO. Most of those blocks were mighty blows and several on AV 7 catchers, so we were astonished.
In the last two rounds we inflicted three quick casualties trying to clear the way for a goblin toss. However, the game was all but lost already. For most of the game, those incredibly resiliant humans actually had a numerical advantage.
The play then? Well, our opponents also had a lot of bad dice rolls, and due to horrible luck actually failed to score in their own drive in first half. In second, they made an excellent kick and our lineup was a bit optimistic. We still were in reasonable control until an ogre failed a three dice blitz, leaving an opening for the humans to skillfully score. Next kick was a blitz and we never really recovered from the shock. In the end, the kossacks were much closer to 2-0 than we were to equalize.
Bench and I had quite a number of good laughs in this match. Stone Age congratulate our victorious opponents but already plan for a grim revenge in a future re-match! :-)”
