A short and very unlucky game for my opponent.

There was one handicap and it came up a Virus, taking two players out and leaving my opponent with exactly 11 vs my 12.

I start in offence and quickly do a two turn score though it was a bit dice, needing a 4+ with Pass RR and then a 2+ Catch with no reroll.

My opponent starts his drive and one of his early moves is his Tree blocking my Ogre. Two dice come up Skull and Skull/Pow and the Tree Badly Hurts himself! My opponent surprising uses his Apothecary there and then which was a very risky and ultimately a deadly move.

I am able to apply some pressure on my opponent and he rolls a 1 on a dodge setting up a cage to use up a RR and then fails his pass (might have needed a 3). The ball falls next to two tackle zones.

I get double skulls early and use my RR, but am able to pull off a 3+ pickup, 2+ dodge, 2+ pass and 2+ catch (with Catch RR) to take the score to 2-0 with just 4 turns down.

All luck really.

My opponent's next drive started with two players pushed then his two dice on my Ogre netted double skulls which was rerolled. So he caged.

I tried a blitz push on one corner to send his Wardancer into my players to hit but it doesn't work. I form a screen and my opponent sets up a cage on the right wing.

I push at it and he manages to get past and he looks to have a possible score in the remaining 2 turns but it isn't easy. But disaster struck my opponent when my Catcher without Block hit his Str4 Dodge Lino and one of the two dice came up a Pow and the line was killed.

My opponent having had a lot of cruddy luck decided to concede.
