I ran out of rerolls pretty early (failed two AG5 leaps and several dauntless rolls) in a game where I rolled all the ones and my opponent just used a couple of rerolls all game long. I needed a push to score the equaliser, but I failed the FA roll and then rolled a skull with one dice. 0-1 at halftime.

I then score with some luck in the second half (the Rotters had defended well against my running offense, and the passing was a no-no with so much FA and no reliable thrower available). Then we had our chance, and stole the ball from the beasts. I threw it to the other side of the field, in which was clearly a mistake (the blodger should have kept the ball).

The Beasts could not knock down the ball carrier, though, and all i needed was a +3, +2, +2 to score the 2-1. Unluckily, I failed the gfi, the Rotters recovered the ball and scored the 1-2 instead.

Stone tripped in a gfi and kill himself (appo failed), and Drizzle, our rookie thrower, suffered a niggling injury that ends his career after one game.

With a bit of better luck, it could have been a draw, but then again, my opponent played better than me. ”
