“A game separated by only 1% in luck seemingly, but it doesn't show the superior number of pows/cas/1db the orcs pulled off more than me, and the number of skulls I rolled, which, while not excessive, were notable by their lack from the opponents' rolls, who had RR left at the end of each half.
Still, it wasn't completely one sided, simply that I never really had the chance to score, only slow the other team down. The score came mostly because of a perfect defence kickoff result which left me blocking rather than running, and I was outblocked, with more players on the bench at any time in the game (DeathRoller went before I got a chance to use it in turn 1 of Orcs go, typical).
Oh yeah, the deathroller got the MVP too, so I gained 0 SPP from this game, no cas, no score, no nothing :) The cas was from a crowd push - apart from a couple of KOs my blocking didn't do much of anything.
That's the way it goes sometimes - I find if Dwarves can't block, or get outblocked, the options run out, and I never even managed to get the ball over the half way line. *Shrug*
My 89 blocks vs 58, and 1/0/0 vs 2/0/1 should give some truer meaning of where the luck went.
In other words, apart from 60k, for me this was "the game that never was"
C'est la vie!
Happy Xmas :)”
