Things didn't pan out that way, however.

Things started well for the rats with an early, 2nd turn TD from their gutter runner. However, the amazons slowly ground them down over the rest of the half, with both teams getting the ref. The rats used their medic to save a badly hurt rat, which later proved deadly.

The second half proved pretty brutal, with Lina Inverse blitzing through the static lines in an attempt to push for the goal. Linerat Paqeeck, unfortunately, tried to stop her, and ended up a bloody smear on the pitch. After such a demoralizing event on their first game, the rats threw in the towel and retired from Bloodbowl forever.”
