“So, here we are: two teams happily slugging it out against each other. It's raining cats and dogs. Ball is slippery and the CDs fumble it several times before getting a firm grip.
The CDs take a lead in the first half and go into half-time 1-0 in the lead. I am lucky to SI his troll. The big beast doesn't regenerate. Hurra for me, I hope. Unfortunately, two of my blitzers are KO-ed when the second half begins. I seriously miss the skills they have.

My orcs do their utmost but aren't able to best the defense of the CDs. Nothing really goes terribly wrong, but every gap is neatly plugged by a good playing opponent.

He even gets hold of the ball again on my drive. With luck I manage to down the bull that is carrying it. It is the last turn. When the going gets though, the though get going... and go they did.

I did some blocking but in the end I thought, hell, I have to give it a try. My opponent must have been smiling when I told him I would try to go for that equalizer nonetheless. We are writing last turn, second half.

My pass-sure hands thrower dodges out of a tackle zone into another. He manages to do it. (I threw a 6.) There, he picks up the ball in the pouring rain. With the sure hands reroll that succeeds. Standing in that same tackle zone, he throws a quick pass to an unskilled lino who is standing in a tackle zone himself. Thank god for the pass skill. The pass succeeds... the crowd is dead silent. The line catches it while trying to keep the irritating chaos dwarf next to him for clinching the ball. The lino dodges. He's out of reach... and he is going for the endzone! He runs like he has never run before! One, two gfi's! He's there! The crowd goes wild!!!!

This is beyond a doubt the most unlikely touchdown I have ever seen in my time on Fumbbl....

As for my opponent: he played well and was an enjoyable coach.
Good luck with your team and rematch anytime. You must be really eager for a chance to redeem yourself after this draw. :-)
