“A tough first match up.. and a narrow but gutsy win. Started Horribly with Gangrene Badly hurting himself attempting to blitz Osiris, luckily the big fella regenerated. What followed was a tough scramble around the ball.. Scar sending Akh back to the dugout with a handy block. Amidst the Chaos Urgrosh the Chosen had not given up control of the ball.. bursting from the pack he set off upfield, while his brave teammates held off the Khemrian cavalry. Alas Drakish of Dargrod was dealt a Smashed Knee. But it bought Urgrosh the time he needed to score the opening TD in the 8th turn. The 2nd half was typical grinding brutality from the Ra Ras, the first half scorer Urgosh sent to the casualty box by big Amun. While the Kemrian Thro-Ra Imotep calmly carted the ball up amidst the chaos. Though short of beasts, Gang Green continually managed to make vital Blitzes on the ball carrier. Scar the first to dislodge the pill. Imotep recovering next turn. Scar rose up from the pitch to launch another Blitz stunning Imotep but Badly hurting himself in the process. Next to step up for GG was Yrrd Blackmane, who blitzed Pa-sheri who was standing over the ball waiting for Imotep to regain his feet, sending him to the dugout where he regenerated his injuries. Next turn it was GG on the recieving end. Ripnur the Bold copping a smashed knee from Hotep. Still in possession of the ball Yrrd attempted a risky dodge.. spilling the ball and knocking himself out. Luckily for Gang Green in the two remaining turns of the game, Imotep's surehands failed him and he was unable to pickup the ball. The Game had been won. Sadly it looks like coaching positions for the injured playeds Ripnur and Drakish. While grateful for his blessings, Gang Green hopes that in the future the Pestilent lord Nurgle might see it in his dark heart to grant the favour of regenerative abilities on his beastmen followers, or atleast the services of an apothecary. We wont hold our breaths though. A tough game that leaves us short handed for our next game.. but you only get one chance to win your opening game and well......mission accomplished.
