I admit to being quite frustrated with my luck in the first half: the Orcs were throwing POWs like confetti; the Macs were having trouble finding any openings - and when they did the dice just weren't there; the Orcs scored an extremely improbable late TD; and to cap it all none of my KOs came back at the end of the half.
If I didn't have an inflexible 'no concessions' policy, this would have been a time to consider a withdrawal.
But the second half was another matter. Our Ogre (proudly sporting his new Block skill) started to dominate the centre of the pitch, and some of our less experienced players stepped up to the plate and gave it their best. It was still touch-and-go right down to the wire, but in the very last turn the Macs got their own late touchdown: with almost as much luck as the Orcs before them!
Great game, srz: and a reminder to any coach out there that it's _always_ worth battling on, however much the dice seem to be against you! :D”
