“Game starts out with a blitz! and a ko'd RSC enemy rat, looking good, right? But despite tackling his gutters or jarring the ball loose with stripball, the bounces go his way, and he scores the go-ahead 1-0. He's continuing to pound my rats down, with multiple ko and a horde of stuns. Of course I good naturredly grumble how I can't play if I have nobody left standing, even as I score the equalizer.

He sets up, things are looking good for a go-ahead score...but his hail mary pass goes astray as those things do, and he's unable to score. I can't score either, but I force him to use his apo on a MNG SV.

Then things turned ugly.

Can't knock him over turn 2.1, but turn 2.2 is deadly. He loses 3 players SI that turn...RO gets -agi, RSC gets niggled, storm vermin gets -ma. I think it was the foul to his RSC that pissed him off, but any player with RSC can expect it IMHO. I'd expect no less in return. But there was no return stroke--sure, he managed to MNG a couple of my players, but my RO was a on a rampage, giving -ma to a lino and niggling his agi4 claw lino. Somewhere along the line we got another cas, MNG ofc. Thanks to his OTS the score was closer than it otherwise might've been.

In all, 9 cas suffered in the game, each and every one a serious injury. It got pretty absurd towards the end, and I was laying off blocks the last couple turns (except for my RO on his agi4 claw) and fouls the last 6 or 7 turns. Positively ridiculous the beating we gave him--ridiculous not only for the magnitude, but for the fact we were GIVING and not TAKING the abuse.

I hope my opponent's team doesn't disband after this...yes, next game will be ugly, but other than a couple niggled killers the team's still largely intact and entirely playable. Just lose the claws for now, and this team will be back on its feet in no time.”
