“What a close game! My opponent had 4 Gutter Runners with some great skills, I knew this was going to be a challenge. I felt my elves were up to it and they were. His one turner could have scored anytime, but with my tackling elves spread over the pitch, I made it more difficult.
In the second half he was ahead 1-3 and I had to kick off to him, luckily I took out some of his front line. I kept his Storm Vermins from coming back into the game and some of his roadblocks were quickly dispatched. Leaving him with his feared Rat Ogre, 4 Gutter Runners and a few Linerats. I quickly was able to get the ball and score to close the gap 2-3. My last kick off was held up for injury time, I knew I needed more time to catch his nimble rats. I had to send a lone Lineman to chase after the rat with the ball while the rest held up his Rat Ogre and the rest of his Gutters. Luckily he had rolled a double block/pow with his Linerat without a skill and without hesitation he used his reroll. Once again I got lucky and he rolled double skulls, with that; I was able to blitz my Lineman to his Gutter with the ball.
I knocked him down and the ball was sitting close to the endzone, I sent my catcher to pick it up, but I rolled a one. Once again I got lucky he used his Gutter to try and dodge to get the ball, but I had diving tackle and tripped up his Gutter. With this I was able to seal a tie in the last turn!
This was a great match and really hard to keep up with his Gutters, Good Game!”
