“Game six for the Black Canyon Blitzers was another tough defensive match - this time against the Ostland Racers, a human team with a pair of veteran players. The Blitzers kicked off in the first half and held the Racers throughout, until Ostland's rookie catcher Skippy Turf-tripper managed to dodge past 2 defenders into the endzone right before the halftime whistle. Skippy's TD was only the third ever scored against the tough Black Canyon defense and earned him the MVP from his teammates! The second half saw the Blitzers facing equal difficulty pushing the ball forward, but as the game wore on the Racers began to wear down, losing several players from the pitch. In a valiant effort the Ostland defense was able to put the ball on the pitch twice during the drive, but were unable to capitalize on the turnovers. Once again proving why he is considered the top player for the Black Canyon Blitzers, team captain Pogdish Ratstomper was able to return the first half favor and scored the equalizer with seconds left on the clock, keeping the Bliters undefeated!”
