“A game that after the first turn stone throwing incident I knew I was in for "another one of those games" Second block from the Dark Elves and my lone Black Orc takes a knock to the head and sits in the KO box for the remainder of the half.
With repeated POWs thrown against me, luckily most of the orcs managed to stay on the pitch and slow down the drive from the onrushing Dark Elves. First half ends 0-0 with the ball somewhere deep inside my own half.
Second half and the Black Orc makes a reappearance back onto the pitch, only to be blitzed by the eager Dark Elves on the kick off. A one yard throw from Vargh is wild and incomplete, causing a turn over. However, the spread of the Orcs up the wide left cause an opening in the next turn for a quick pass and a bit of a dash up the field. Some blocking ensues but the blitzer carries the ball through another turn and makes his way up the field.
Next turn however the first block results in a pushback only to be followed by a crowd push. The ball's loose again!
The ball is deftly picked up and then shrowded by another two elves. A series of blocks create a few pushbacks and an opening for the orcs to blitz the screen and create a tacklezone on the ball carrier.
The next turn left me somewhat perplexed as to what I need to do to get some luck in this game...
A 2D block is rerolled to get rid of the tacklezone on the ball carrier, an early use of the reroll cheers me up, but I should've put that down to false hope. A run down the field to the LOS see's the carrier hand off the ball to another elf in a tacklezone, who procedes to dodge out of the tacklezone, run even further down field, go for it successfully and throw the ball. The ball is caught and the runner takes it home for an end to end 1 turn touchdown. Annoyed isn't the word.
Some marking and pushy blocking on the orcs part lead up to a clear run through on goal for the blitzer, but oh no. Nuffle has other ideas for these guys...
Next turn an elf gets up, dodges out of his tacklezones, and goes for it into the blitzer's tacklezone. Another elf dodges from a tacklezone, and blitzes his way across the field also needing to go for it. Blitzer down, and ball spilled, no chance of an equalizer for the orcs.
Another one of those games indeed :/”
