I've never really been one to lament over the absence of luck or to blame it for outright faliure, but in this case I simply couldn't do anything. My team took early losses and was essentially decimated by the start of the second half thereby ensuring the loss.

I did come close to a draw however with my 5 remaining amazons as some shoddy defending allowed one of the blitzers to catch a long bomb in a tacklezone close enough to the endzone to score in turn 6, but sadly failed the dodge.

What really seperates this from my first ranked game since returning to play on Fumbbl is the oppenents I picked to play against. Whilst Redfish was chatty, funny and friendly, Frankencow remained stubbornly silent from the opening whistle right up to the end where he at least managed a 'gg thx'.

I hope this isn't the norm now on Fumbbl and I hope to find coaches to play against who make the game more enjoyable than the fleeting sensation of win/loss.
