“Once again the total madness that is the Undead rose once again to beat me. With a couple of quick Casualties early on in the game I was hoping that my rat clan would weaken the opposing team, making it easier for me to dodge and weave my way out of trouble. Alas I was foiled once again when players I stomped into the ground rose from the dead and re-joined their team on the pitch. As the game progressed and my wounded and knocked out rose, my Rat Ogre got knocked out in a crunching, albiet lucky !!, tackle. All the warp stone we brought along couldn't wake the big guy until late in the second half. With only 8 players on the pitch, the rats did their best to hold up the game and pull off the draw but the slow, shambling stone that is undead could not be stopped.
Luckily the Legion managed to make it out of this game with two down, and although weakened for their next match against the Greenskins, they will hopefully perform better !!”
“The League got off to a shaky start as Boris the Blade and Lorrn the Legsnapper scored two razor-fast casualties in the first few seconds of play against their undead foe. But as quickly as the undead could be knocked down they rose again, intent to make the ratlings pay for their presumptiosness.
With the skaven losing their thrower to the stopping power of Dorian Gray, the skaven were forced increasingly onto the defensive. By the end of the second half with their rat ogre in the KO bin and two players out for the game things looked grim. Despite this the chittering ones held their own, scoring a touchdown and locking up the ball for turns on end. In the final minutes, it was only the lightning fast speed of Mina Harker that turned a draw into a close win for the League.
Sources confirm that Mina Harker has been enjoying some special passing practice in anticipation of the second round - a move that could greatly increase the team's passing game.”
