“In their first match with only one mummy on the pitch - following <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=283608">Luk</a>'s rather hilarious death, the Funbbl Crew went off to a less-than-adequate start and allowed a touch-down by the opponent. On their own drive they then suffered a pitch invasion, but their own touch-down was only foiled by <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=281163">Gorritakid</a> fumbling a pass to <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=281167">Mnemon</a> waiting to receive it in the end-zone.
The second half, however, was a different story. The Crew scored quickly, and then when <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=281164">Candlejack</a> managed to intercept a pass by the Entropy Brigade, he ran all the way to the end-zone to score 2 - 1 in the dying seconds of the match.
"It were more excitin' dis way." - Gorritakid explaining that he dropped the ball on purpose when he appeared to be trying to pass it to Mnemon.
"I hef allus been a verry gud player, ded or alive, dere be no difference." - Candlejack.
"Der crowd likes it when I hits der floor hard, break mah arm, and then puts it back into plase an' it still works." - <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=281169">Mezir</a> who has so far recovered from two injuries sustained on the pitch within a few minutes, once each match.
"I rock." - <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=283608">Cusi</a> on his transfer to the Crew's undead team.

Fortunately for the fans, the Fumbbl Crew didn't take this lying down - as it were - indeed they stood right back up again, and - after a short riot holding up the match for a turn - took sweet revenge in the form of a touchdown of their own... and then, close to the end of the second half, another touchdown despite being dogged by terrible luck they pulled the proverbial rabbit out of a hat.
The Funbbl Crew fans were not to be shown up by the Brigade fans and also managed to throw a rock of their own before the 2nd and final touchdown!
All in all a good first match of the season with a moderate amount of carnage and a heavy dose of Chaos for the Brigade against a worthy opponant.”
