The game started, and sure enough..it was hard..the Lizards had no rerolls, but in the ifrst half..hell..they didnt need them!!
Despite not having any block skill, they managed to always roll something not giving a turnover...i.e. skull and pushback at worst.
The Lizards quickly scored to lead the game 1 - 0.
The dwarfs had a thought...the only chance they had was to get rid of the 4 skinks...that way the lizards would find it hard to pick up the ball!! what an idea!!
Slowly, the skinks started to fall. The dwarfs managed an equaliser at half time, and then it was their turn to recieve. However, in the second half things started to go wrong..for both teams.
Both teams ended up with no rerolls, and turned themselves over again and again. However, the strength of the Saurus' were too great, and they eventually beat down the weakened dwarf side and knocked over the ball carrier. after some scapping for the ball, a skink managed to get up, dodge and pick up and race for the end zone to make it 2 - 1.
In the dying seconds of the game, the dwarfs achieved their objective...the 4th and final skink was removed from play. However it was too little too late.
However, one notable play was in turn 8. Lorgarck Goldmonger, for alaugh and knowing the game was almsot over, decided to hurl the ball deep into the Lizzards half, to an awaiting longbeard. Stangely enough though, the pass was so accurate that even the fumbling longbeard could not fail to catch it. If there was just one or two more turns..
At the end of the day the lizards and Dwarfs left the stadium happy. Both were well paid and the injuries to both teams were minor and temporary.
And funnily enough...the Gold Diggers are only really interested in one thing...gold....winning is just a bonus.

Thanks to Asmodai for the game. He was a cool coach and it was a fun game...hard but fun. The dwarfs look forward to a rematch anytime, and hope for an equally prosperous game...win or lose.
