“Well... I think having only 2 RRs hurt my game a lot. It's a bit frustrating to fail so many easy rolls but I understand it comes with rolling a lot of dice. Got blitz! first turn and slowed down his drive a lot, prying the ball loose a whole bunch of times, but never getting hold of the ball. Eventually I lost enough elves (and the tree!) to be unable to stop them. Had two turns to make the tie, the orcs turnover on a both down result, I pass the ball, miss, reroll with pass, then don't catch the ball at 2+.
Second half I received, set up for a run down the side, but Perfect Defense screwed me. I still pass the ball to the wardancer, who leaps over the orcs (all of which except one lino were on the LOS). I fail to knock down the stripball blitzer and my wardancer loses the ball. Then I made a stupid move allowing my wardancer to be crowded. Luckily for me, that roll failed, and I made the tie.
With a whole bunch of turns to go, Pimpike scored easily for a 2-1 but gave me a good chance to tie. Weather turned to heavy rain, which made my thrower drop the ball twice, then made my 3+ catch fail.
Anyway, Pimpike was an enjoyable opponent, so I'll keep an eye out for a rematch.
Also, my wardancer got +ST, which is nice.”
