“Not a bad match. I thought we would be buried after the first few turns, as the Dwarves were able to knock me down with little trouble throughout the 1st half. Yet, he decided to stall for 4 or 5 turns of the 1st half, scoring one his turn 8. I didn't mind so much as I couldn't really put up a fight in the 1st half and felt that if I got out of the half only down 1-0 I was in good shape.

By the end of the half, I had 1BH in my injured/reserved boxes, as well as 3 KO's, while my opponent had only 1BH (I had BH'd a Slayer, but they apoth kept him on the pitch for some reason). My KO's came back, so I was up players on the Dwarves to start the 2nd half 11-10.

Things went fairly well for me on the drive, pushing most of the guards away and working the ball down field for a 3 (or 4) turn score. But I lost another player to the KO box, but was able to send Spargosh to the SI box.

I kicked off the the dwarves and this time, they did not knock me down on every block and I was able to wrench the ball loose from their runner, but lost Bronze, the mino, to a BH...at least he wouldn't be a potential TO anymore this game.

I broke free and tried to pass to a Beast down field, safely away from any pursuing Dwarves, but the pass was inaccurate and ended on the ground.

the dwarves moved a Longbeard up then failed a gfi bringing up another. I blitzed the longbeard out of the way and brought another beast up to pick up the ball. All he had to do would be a hand off and I would win the game on turn 8 of the 2nd half. Alas, it was not meant to be and the Handoff failed. It was a good game...especially after the bad start I seemed to have. (at one point ALL my players were laying on their backs!)
