“I don't know quite what we'd ever done to farwood. Clearly not best to aggravate this bunch of elves. This game never felt close, but was hard fought and thoroughly enjoyable. I scored in my second turn with not too much bother and then thought i might be onto a winner when the revenge allowed me a 2dblock on their catcher. Unfortunately although getting hold of the ball i was never able to break clear, and as often happens in these scrappy situations a slugfest ensued. A slugfest in which i was clearly the slugged rather than the slugger. Players leaving the field encouraged others to head in the direction of the ko and bh box and the theme continued throughout the second half and the 10 elves i fielded at the start several were throwers and rookie lino's and it was slowly downhill from there. I saved the apoth for a kill on Cobain a very reliable 81spp lino, with no plasters left Corgan II bit the dust.

The av8 did not feel like it showed its superiority but with 69 blocks to 28 i was always going to be on the recieving end. Unbelievably for an elf team 45 of the revenge's 69 blocks were with mb, that's got to count for something.... and it did.

A good game, a rematch would be good, next time i'll get my hands on that av6 st 5 mb, tackle lino.... ; )”
