“This was my first ever tournament game, and it was extremely entertaining. My opponent hired fungus the loon, who was a holy terror through the entire contest, never collapsing or being thrown out and often knocking down more than one player a turn.
However, my opponent couldn't overcome the run of bad dice that often hits underdog goblin teams--Goblins failing dodges, stupid trolls, etc.
The first half was a mad fracas--The goblins received and managed to slowly advance the ball up the field, despite having it knocked free a couple of times. The ball was kicked around deep in my end through turn 8. In the second half, I gained a relatively easy score thanks to the aforementioned bad dice.
The Green Bay Goblins had time for the equalizer, but their last effort to throw a goblin to pick up the loose ball and score on Turn 8 failed when the Troll went stupid.
All in all, a weird and amusing contest--Great job by my resourceful opponent in keeping the game competitive with his goblins.”
