A bizarre game. The Cadavers had lots of great rolls in the first half whilst the Cheesecake rolled a lot of crud. The game looked well and truly over when the Cadavers stole the ball twice on defence to take a 2-0 lead into half time.

The Cadavers extended their commanding lead with a third TD early in the second half (3 turns). The Cheesecake finally strung a decent string of rolls together as three of their Gutter Runners combined for a quick reply.

On the next drive, the Cheesecake pulled a Blitz! Some unfortunate ball handling by the Cadavers left the ball on the ground in one tackle zone but the Cheesecake scooped it up and scored!

At 3-2 up with plenty of time left (3 turns), the Cadavers pushed the ball fowards but dropped a catch. The Cheesecake got to the ball but failed to pick it up and the Cadavers escaped with a win.

A rather close game in the end. An amazing start for me, but it was nearly all Mnemon in the second half. Only my fans killing the ref and me taking a couple of fouls to stun potential ball stealers kept the ball out of my opponent's hands to allow me to esape with the win.”
