“Apparently the Stumps of Doom are themselves doomed to replay old matches, and carry the weight of old grudges created by their predecessors.
In this match, a recreation of round 6 of CanCon 2006 was attempted, with limited success. The teams were nominally the same, with the same coaches at the Helm and the same names. Perhaps both teams were a little less developed this time around, which seemed to work in the Stumps favour this time around. Rather than a lucky draw for the Stumps, this time they managed to pull off a win, enraging the presiding official from HSFTAROTTBBGPACBOAJ (Historical Society for the Accurate Recreation of Table Top Blood Bowl Games Played at Conventions, But Online And Junk).
This time around the Stumps managed to delay play in the first half long enough to prevent an equaliser at half time, and the Kings responded with a return touch down early in the second half.
With the promise of a fresh zombie dwarf cruelly dashed by the King's resident apothacary, it was up to the other zombies to keep the rest of the dwarven horde occupied while Scruffy grabbed the ball to dash down the pitch for his second touch down of the match.
He could hear the pumping of stumpy little legs behind him, but despite their best efforts, the little chaps were too slow for our speedy wolf, who tore away and won the match for the Stumps! And with all that exercise, it looks like he might have bulked up too...”
