Also, yes, my rolling was crappier than that crap-monster from Dogma. But the issue was, that I could not hold on to the ball, nor could put his ball carrier's down...
After all, that left me with squat.
Good game, though, and if you want to see true dice torcher, watch the replay...
“Sadly, Alone and Burned had a day much like poor Legion (Janus). Of course, one could also say that sadly, Legion (Janus) had a day much like poor Alone and Burned.
I thought I was hosed from the start, by accidentally using my apoth on my niggled catcher (Liebestod, the one turner who rarely scores). I thought it was a foregone conclusion that I was trying to chat and accidentally hit 'enter' at the wrong time, so I was destined to be hosed. Fortunately, that was not the case.
The game started with a Blitz! in my favor and the foolish mino was a little too close to the LOS. This meant that I effectively got 2 free turns once I got my treeman into position and the score was 1-0 before the Forces of Change even got a turn.
The next drive started with a rock, I think, but had a very similar result. The Mino was too close to the LOS again and I got the treeman on him. This allowed me to rush the ballcarrier in the backfield and score again.
The rest of the match was pretty much all-elves. They were hitting hard and dodging pretty much flawlessly while AloneAndBurned was rolling utter crap. It would have been a much closer game, except that he couldn't succeed at anything and I couldn't fail. Aside from that , it was almost even, right?
The one factor aside from the luck (which doesn't show up because we had to restart) was the WA. I'd like to think he got the idea that he needs to play the mino in the backfield (or at least on a side line!) rather than up the middle. The treeman simply stuffed him repeatedly. Even if we were both rolling like real human beings, I think I would have gotten him on a few drives because of that.
Thanks a lot for the game, AloneAndBurned. Next time, get better dice and keep that Mino off the LoS!”
