“Coach Shatterstar surveyed his Elves as they shambled slowly from the field, lingering on the pitch and dwelling on missed opportunites. Shatterstar cast an admiring glance towards the Dark Elf dugout. They had earned respect in the elven eyes, coming into the match outnumbered but not outplayed.
Stinger blocking on offence had let the elves down, managing a poultry 3 KO's for the match. A plethora of pushbacks stunted the drive effectively and put the Stingers on the backfoot. What began as numerical superiority turned around to a desperate struggle to remain evenly paired to the Dark ones. The last drive saw the Stingers go 2 men down.
Shatterstar sighed and considered himself lucky to have come away with a draw.
