“Its called the Little Grudge Bowl but with over 100,000 lizard and skaven fans attending the match it certainly has the same following as its larger cousin.
In order to have a chance against the Friends, removal of the teams gutter runners was top priority and so the Fangs dispersed their chameleon skink agents to once again even the odds. An early blowpipe shot from the crowd and Tiny fell into a short term coma for the match due to Lustrian poision!

However the rest of the half did not go according to plan as the Friend gutter runners slipped away from any attempt by the Fang sauri to bring them down and eventually ran in the opening touchdown.
A chance came to equalise at the end of the first half but team captain Tehen failed the crucial dodge at the end.

At the start of the second half disaster almost struck as the sneaky skaven took advantage of a weak defence to sack the ball carrier and run away with the ball. A last gasp tackle by Tehen prevented a second skaven touchdown and by the time the Fangs had retrieved the ball multiple rats had left the field.

With reduced numbers the Friends were unable to stop the Fangs equalising to put the match into overtime. Crucially no skaven gutter runners came back for the start of the overtime period.

The overtime kick-off touched back to the skaven rat ogre who managed to get someway down the field before the Fangs stole the ball. With superior numbers the Fangs were able to control the game and hold out before scoring on the last turn!

The only downside to the win was a warpstone bite injury on Xholankha's thigh that was discovered after the match.
The wound would not heal and caused great bouts of pain from the wound. Rather than continue on, Xholankha has decided to move to the coaching team to allow a newly spawned Saurus to take over in his position.

A good close game against a very good coach where some lucky injury rolls in the second half allowed me to get away with the win. Those gutter runners were a constant pain in my scaly hide and I'm just glad one was removed early one else the result may have been very different.
