All one on one blocks of the great swords were POW's. All blocks I made were pushbacks (also when I had two dice to choose) and all knocked down players of my team were stunned or worse. pickup the ball didn't work: surehands was not really usefull there. Next turn: a catcher tried to dodge: 2 and 1 made him fail that: He was ofcourse BH. tTrn 3 looked a bit better at first my thrower moved: a dodge, pick the ball up a tacklezone worked: dodge.. worked again.. a pass would have given the Engeneers a very good chance on 1-0, but the pass failed .. fumble.. then the thrower was blitzed.. and he was kicked SI by a blitzer with mighty blow (not that that skill made a difference: he would have been SI anyway). Next turn.. Blitzer Bell was SI'ed for -1 ST (hey.. I had some luck there.. My apoth worked). and Blitzer Hertz was kicked BH and the last Thrower was also made KO. only 7 players on the field.. no problem to score for the lucky swords. 43% vs 84%.. Not really a good drive: only 8 players left, and the apoth was used.
Next drive started kinda lucky.. a pass for SSP actually worked. And the lucky swords defended the right side with only two players, so a quick sweep right game me good position to score: to bad that I failed a GFI, dubble 1.. that would have given me a better TD position. the next turn the lucky swords failed a GFI and they overlooked a guard skill, this opened up the right side.. so I could score 1-1 in turn 8.. amazing being down 8 vs 11 players.
Since player that was KO'ed and didn't return and two more players were KO'ed during the 1st drive of the lucky swords (one GFI KO'ed a catcher) the defence was weak. 6 vs 11, how can you stop that? no chance... and Ingolf decided to stall and blocked around some more players: the other thrower was SI'd now. With only 5 players on the field the cowardy swords dared to score their td. Out of 3 players being KO'ed none returned. So only 5 players who can atempt to score now.
Failing a pickup of the ball (lovely to have a RR what is worthless, isn't it?) was not really improving the chance for 2-2. next turn someone was powed on the ball: the ball scattered in the hands ot one of the lucky swords. Dispite the tacklezone the player who got the scattered ball (and no RR needed)
A block knocked the ball lose, but a a dodge proved to be too hard (lovely to have a RR what is worthless, isn't it?)
The lucky swords had no troble at all picking up the ball again. So 3-1 was close (not really strange if you looked at the odds, or didn't I mention the lucky swords are lucky in this game? Still their luck dropped dramatically from 82 to 70 %).
The not so smart swords wanted to blitz the remaining 7 players so they fielded all players next to the line of scrimmage. since the kick-off was straight into the hands of a player, Wilbur Wright made a 10 pace sprint, and was not brought down (skull, RR, Skull for the swords) so 3-2 was the final score.
I'm glad that I survived this much violence and bad luck with only two miss next games (only to bad they are both my throwers). I hope I have a bit more luck the next game.”
