“The woodies have managed to string together 2 wins for the first time since moving into the swl regionals. It was the first time the woods went into a match not giving away at least 20TS so the boys were looking to improve their position on the ladder.

It was game played at a frantic pass with Touchdowns being traded early. The woods defence then managed to exploit a wayward raven throw and jumped to a 2-1 halftime lead. This was easily increased to 4-1 with a lovely display of quick passing and sharp hitting. Bayside got a consolation in the last turn to close the game out at 4-2.

"They are showing more mettle. Not letting themselves get bullied of the ball" Coach Ekers was quoted saying after the match. However when asked where he would be coaching next season all we got was "No Comment".
