“The Girders instantly regretted accepting this challenge. They were right to do so, as the KO bin was pretty much full for most of the match.
Facing 8 ogres is never pretty, and sure enough, Mads Hajer had his hand crippled, which means he can't catch, which means he's been shown the door. Manuelson was also smashed, all for a simple apothecaried goblin.
There was a bit of time for some blood bowl, though. Stongard wriggled free to run in a touchdown, but after that, and with eight players to start the second half, the Girders were never going to get anything. The ogres were still up for a fight though, and the Girders' four remaining players could only watch from the floor with an ogre boot on their backs, as El Equipo strolled upfield to equalise late in the second half.
This could be a turning point for the girders, and they will pick their next match more carefully.
(having said that; they probably won't; they'll get cocky and play dwarfs or khemri or something)”
