Turn 7 of the second half, the score was 1-1 and four Shorties faced 11 Drakes. The ball was in the hands of a Saurus named Hurricane who had scooped up a spilled ball on a 6 (needing 7). Shorties Gutter Runner Itz E. Bitze escapes the scrimmage and darts around on the outside to make a three-dice-against block, and manages to knock Hurricane down! The ball spills to the big Kroxigor Blizzard who can't handle it, and it falls on the ground. Dekh R. of the Shorties dodges and picks up the ball despite the best efforts of two opponents and sprints to the halfway line to toss it to Shorties lineman Millie. After the Drakes, understandably gobsmacked by this turn of events, fail to put much pressure on Millie, she dodges clear and is only two steps from the end zone to make it a 2-1 Shorties win. The first step is fine, but the second step, she stumbles... coach m0nty makes a last-ditch effort on the sideline... and she stumbles again! She falls in the end zone and the ball spills beside her as the whistle blows. A tie!
