“The Furballs suffered from an amazing hangover on game day. They were left in a near helpless state.
The 1st half of the game was a defensive struggle. The Blowers were forced to hide between two rooted treemen for the majority of it, as the Furballs were too fast and strong for the halflings to move the ball.
The highest Luck for the Furballs in the 1st half peaked at a soaring 30%. Without rerolls, or tackle the Furballs were combat-ineffective.
The 2nd half was the highlight of the game.
The kickoff = BLITZ!! A thrown halfling gracefully caught the ball. Then the subesquent 3d block failed to take him down. He did some tricky dodgingg, and with the use of dodge rr, and team rr, he slipped in to the end zone, doing in one turn what they could not manage to do for the past 8.
Next kick.... BLITZ!!
Sometimes nuffle really sticks it in and breaks it off... Gotta love back to back blitzes!
The Furballs did manage to wiggle the ball away on this drive, but just barely. Countless 1d pows by the Blowers brought blodging Gutters down easily. Only by the skin on their teeth did the Furballs manage to score.
It should also be noted that Armstrong was feeling particularly terrible, and had trouble concentrating (Bonehead) with his pounding headache. He rolled a 1 for about 8 of his 16 Bonehead rolls.
Last play of the game, a fling lands a SI on the Furball's thrower. The apoth had left the game early in search of more whiskey and hookers, and therefore; was not able to render aid to the rat (rolled a 1) - The perfect ending!
Kwek was a super-nice guy as always, and didn't gloat or cheer on any of the Furball's bad luck.
Hopefully if his luck keeps up, the Blowers will make it in to the finals!
Keep up the good work Kwek! ”
