“An upset victory in the Asgard Open as the underdog Yoyodyne-Propulsion-Systems defeats last month's Loki Invitational winners Khaines Warriors in the first round.
Woohoo.

To be honest I played very sloppily, yet managed to eek out a win.
First half I put on a decent defense. Was a bit careless with the sidelines and witchelves, but luckily the crowds were mostly pansy-ass elves, so how much damage could they do? Managed to hold the delves on their side throughout the first half.
Second half started with me showing all my shortcomings with my first woodie team. Mainly, I haven't fogured outhow to set up on offense yet. Opted to spread my recievers out on all sides. Then proceeded to see my recievers get swarmed and my wardancer pushed off the pitch. Managed to get a lucky break on their weak side, and passed the ball to John Fledgling, but soon after it was a loose ball with lotsa elves from both teams surrounding it and scrambling for the bacon.
Ag 5 wins the day with Mr. Fledgling getting up and easily grabbing the ball out of Efuke Battleblow's tackle zone. Skipping it over, to handoff to John Ya Ya, who proceeds to run off as far away as possible, allowing the Warriors only the ability to tag him with witch. Which a quick dodge happily ends in the endzone as Yoyodyne gets the touchdown, with only 2 turns left.
The dice, which until the second half of the second half (t4) were rather indifferent to me, continue to be kind, as a perfect defense on the kickoff allowed me to contain all the elgible delf TD threats in a box of wood. A failed gfi ensured the Yoyodyne victory. Woot!
On to the next round of the Asgard Open we go.
