#13 Crazy Davie – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#13 Crazy Davie – Broken Neck (-AG)
This game could be accurately described as my low point in fumbbl, not in my experience of the site or the enjoyment of the game, but with the humilating thoroughness with which I was defeated. I was half asleep playing this game, and my opponent played vamps with a familiar ease, and I made numerous mistakes, but none of this was what really mattered.

What mattered was aside from failing to pick up the ball on his first turn, my opponent did not miss a roll of any importance in the entire game. It was actually kind of inspiring to watch, figuring that at some point my opponent would naturally miss a key roll or two. He never did.

Here was a middle stretch of the game--I receive a kickoff, start moving up the field. My opponent makes 9 different rolls to cause a turnover (involving some hypnotic gaze, a successful one die blitz with gfis, a vampire making three dodges through multiple tackle zones with two gfis to pick up the ball). On my turn I try to take the ball back and double skull, reroll, double skull. My opponent scores. He kicks off, gets a blitz, and scores off the blitz. I get the ball back, spend a couple turns moving up the field, and again my opponent causes a turnover making 9 rolls, this involving a blitz, two dodges through tackle zones, a pick up, a short pass to a covered receiver who catches it and dodges a way for another score. It should be mentioned that these pickups and passes were done on a muddy field and that my opponent didn't need a reroll during this stretch.

In fact, my opponent playing vampires, got nerfed to two rerolls in the first half. He only used one of them. During the whole game, three vampires, comprising 48 vampire turns, went off for a bite once. He used less than half of his total rerolls. His "failures" were things like a thrall rolling a doublepush on a meaningless block.

I write this report not to whine about my dice, but more to be in awe of Nuffle when the mood strikes him. I wasn't upset during this game--It was more the fascination of watching some sort of hurricane or natural disaster in action. Good luck to my opponent--His vampires are the favorites of the gods and hopefully have a bright future in front of them!
