“A fun and very very bloody match, against one of my favoured coaches... the pitch came alive as my zealous farmers, monks and knights charged around dispensing moral justice.
Sadly, Brother Gordon, a keystone of the team, was given a niggling injury on his good throwing hand, and the team apothecary had run out of holy water, or so it seemed.
On the strength of this extremely violent match, Pastor John took a step to the dark side, and began investigating ways of injuring opponents when they are helpless...
“The crew of the Motley sailed into port to take some much needed shore leave. Upon disembarking the ship they were accosted by a band of "fanatical" priest and his followers. The Captain tried to explain that we were just in port to reprovision ourselves and to gain some rest, but the leader of the priests, Reverend Peter would have none of it, as he sought to cleanse us of our sins.
They set upon us with holy might but we held our ground for a few tense moments on the dock whilst we could retreat to our ship, and gather our weapons.
Then the unthinkable happened, as we set foot back on the dock, one of the priests followers cold-cocked the captain, badly hurting him.
Why, we were stunned, and could not scarce believe our eyes. We set upon the heathen and seriously injured him and then set upon the priest and his followers.
The battle raged across the dock and aboard the decks of several ships that were moored to the dock. Back and forth it went with neither us nor the priest and his followers gaining an upper hand.
But by the end, we were wearing there ranks thin as they only had 5 men on the dock. We had beaten them back and secured a meager portion of treasure for ourselves. Wild Wilhelm had been kicked in the head while he was down and it my take a little more R&R for him to be back at full strength.
The Captain let it be known that we would return to the priests monastary and burn it to the ground, he will not forget this affront.
Arrrrrr...........”

Doing evil in the name of good, Amen.”
