Another Pyrrhic victory for the Straight Arrows. Toad cleverly smuggled some knuckledusters in and it paid off five times over. The game was over once M'Kari decided he'd lost (after I scored turn 2 and the ref showed a bias against his secret weapons); I think if he'd kept playing ball control carefully, the game would have been much closer - he may have had players kicked out, but I had had players killed by that point.
Anyway, the goblins certainly exacted a toll at every kick-off. Now to find a less brutal opposition for my eight survivors...

Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like you had given up on winning; the casualties were just a product of the dice that game, just the way it was. There was definitely a defeatist vibe coming from your half from the second turn onwards though ;-)

Garrgghh

Another loss to these damn rats. It seems nothing I can do can get the win. This match was no different, which was effectively over after turn 2, when my team experienced its 2nd turn of complete ineptness and lost its best players. Toad was the only gob who stood tall hammering 5 of the rats but that was it.

Too many 1s and nowhere near enough for Rumple (the guy with no fear of GFI ;) just made this team more-or-less immobile.

The rats didn't get away from this scot-free, as can be seen by the cas column and with this number of cas you'd expect a result but like i said the Scramblers could do little more.

Well played Rumple but Garrghhh.......

Hmm. That's a bit unfair Rumple. As above, I was looking for the win throughout but as I stated about 3/4 of way thrpugh the match that the match had already been decided by turn 2, whilst none of your players were injured by that point. Your good play (not forgetting your talismanic dice ;), the ref and some trully useless rolls conspired against a result.

I hope I'm mis-reading this but you're making it sound like I was just trying to smash up your team, which is a bit harsh.

I'm still looking for my first victory against your rats but I think i'll need a top game and some luck to get that one. Anyways all the best.
