“Another tough match for the Chicks, who had to freeboot a travelling midwife (who was out in Hick Chick country helping former Chick lino Jasmine with her first child... she'll be back on the field soon) as a linewoman just get to field 10 players in this first round X-Cup matchup.

The team's only niggler had to be treated by the apothecary just to play in the match... an omen, for sure. The Krunchmasters got off to a fast start, getting lots of pows against the 80% blodging Chicks. That, and very few pows coming back the other way allowed the chaos squad to turn the ball over, and plod down the field and eventually stall. Not that it was all about the luck... the Chicks decided to get into a tight midfield melee, which did not allow them to use their dodge skills to escape. Continually failing Dauntless rolls didn't help, though.

The Chicks caught a break with all 4 KOs coming back in the second half, but were only able to temporarily get the ball loose in the second half. They also lost blitzer Lucy Mae to a serious injury... wish the apothecary had still been around.

The Chicks did get better luck late in the game when it didn't matter, and especially on the after-game rolls... 6's for FF and winnings.
