“After an evening of dropped connections by opponents, a concession (by me) after a pointless 4v4 game and basically 4 hours doing nothing trying to finish a game, I was hoping for things to go my way a little.
Unfortunately, even facing an oponent with no rerolls at all, I was comphrehensively outdiced in this game. I rolled a number of double skulls, failed blocks, single skulls, my opponent threw one dice blocks all game and failed two.
Luckily - bizarre to think that's the best luck I had, an opponent failing - his two single dice block skulls, one turn after another, came late in the 2nd half, after my ball carriers had suffered all game with successful 1 dice blocks against them. A bouncing ball (after a throw in left the ball nearer my own end zone rather than the 4 squares i was away from the opponents) landed on a zombie. Block. Down, bounce. Zombie. Then the skull block which allowed him to run free.
Turn 16 score decided the game, but the cost was high. A dead Wight from a failed dodge (3+) and regen fail topped the misery, and my guys were pretty much outbashed all game thanks to those one sided block dice (tm).
Still, a win is a win, even if the team doesn't go forwards or backwards in the process.
Thanks for the game Flexei. I normally suggest a team with no rerolls gets some at the first avail opportunity, but based on this showing, you don't really need them :)
On the other hand, my 3 rerolls appeared to be worse than useless. (Burnt 3 rr in 1st 2 turns of half 2 after a blitz kickoff and left me in the lap of Nuffle for the rest fo the second half. Nuffle likes to have his way with me, this game was no exception :) )
*sounds of screams as Nuffle drags me away into a dark corner*
edit: to top this pile of shit off, the only player to skill up, a flesh golem, aged and niggled on his first skill roll. Nice.”
