Our first game in the Daemons and Dark Ones league was played in a blizzard which lasted the entire game.

A quick score in the first half was defeated by Lord Vorik's interception and then the very tricky dodging of Goolak who swiped the ball out from under the noses of three of the Fiends and sprinted away downfield for the Killers' first touchdown. We still might have managed to get on the board this half if my Ghouls could pick up the ball, but it wouldn't have altered the final outcome (other than a few more SPPs for the Fiends....)

A touchback on the second half kick-off placed the ball in the hands of one of the Killers' mummies and there it stayed for nearly the entire half. This half was basically one big bash fest with everyone tied up in the middle pounding on one another until the ball carrying mummy finally broke free and handed off to a ghoul who went on the score the second touchdown.

All in all a very well played game by my opponent who managed to contain me for a good portion of the game. And given all the bashing it was remarkably injury free -- all of those injuries that did occur were taken care of by regeneration. Our fans were most likely repulsed by our inept ball handling in the first half. I don't know what the Killers' fans problem is....
