Da Hobgobs figured dem wood elves would provide us a good match, and it sure turned out dat way.

Da Hobgobs had some trouble handlin da openin kickoff, but once dey got it under control, da boys made some good progress down da left side o' da pitch. Eventually big ol Kurdle ends up with da ball near da goal when dis fancydancer elf comes running it to hit 'em. Well I tell you, dem elves must not be a good judge o' size cause dat guy bounced right of Kurdle and knocked himself clean out.

Second half, da elves try to get in position to score quick, but Gruddy comes runnin in and Wham nails da elf with da ball. There's a scramble to get da ball and one o' da elves runs for da goal to get a pass. Now I heerd dat dem Elves is sumtin special passin da ball, but dis bunch couldn't seem to get it done. After a lot of scratchin fer da ball, it ends up next to 3 o' da Hobgobs, includin Gruddy who's a pretty fine tackler, and dis one elf who's down on da field. Well I tell ya, Nuffle was lovin dem elves today cause dat joker stands up, dodges an almost certain tackle by da hobgobs, grabs da ball right in front of all three o' da boys, and runs clean in for a Touchdown!

Well a frustratin game to be sure, but we proved we could hold dem elves down unless Nuffle himself is handin out TDs.. We'll remember dis one an take it out on da next bunch o' poncy elves to come our way!”
