“The Norse were able to really make a game out of this one. Despite only being able to field 11 players, and no reserves, this game was forced into overtime.

Currency had nothing to lose, so risky plays and positioning for scores were the standard. The game started off with a solid td effort by the Orcs. The Norse got the ball back with only a turn left in the half.

But the second half saw the norse take advantage of a key failed GFI by the Warriors, who were setting up to block the ball carrier. After the folowing score and kick-off, the Norse were able to force a turnover and recover the ball for a TD. Of course, that demanded elf-like dodging and ball handling (3+, 4+, 3+ roll on the final stand which isn't much, but risky)

By this time, the norse weren't able to field more than 8, so the defense on the following drive (with 2 turns to score) was a little weak. But this game goes to overtime!

There was no chance in Overtime after a key failed block left the door wide open for the orcs to force a turnover, and keep the ball for the whole overtime. Great game, and much closer than I would have expected, but like I said, the Norse had nothing to lose :) Thanks for the game, Gorritakid, and good luck the rest of the way!”
