It was a skaven team that finally broke the original Gypsies and the new boys have been chomping at the bit to even up the cosmic balance. Coach Ryce was quietly worried about sending the green squad against a superior skaven team, but the team wanted it.
At first, it looked like Coach Ryce's fears were warrented. The apothecary was on the field during the first play to revive a mortally wounded Stu Gauntlet. It would prove to be a successful decision, since Gaunlet would be the only seriously injured Gypsy in this match-up. Still, the skaven got the ball and eventually scored, knocking out several Gypsies in the process.
The second drive of the game would prove more successful for the Dark Water players. They marched the ball down the field, knocking out and crippling skaven after skaven. Gregg Ironboot would show his boots were made of much lighter stuff, as he pushed in for a TD at the end of the first half.
The second half would see the recovery of most skaven so it was a much more even fight than Coach Ryce wanted. It was back and forth, and very bloody. Cougar fumbled twice at the end of the game, but three times IS a charm, and he threw a short pass to Wesley Stable who ran it in for the game tie. Along with a casuality, the TD would assure the MVP award to Stable, who has taken on the additional responsibility of becoming the team's kicker.
Despite four completions, Cougar's inconsisent gameplay is causing him to become a scapegoat for the Gypsy fans. In response, Cougar has been seen working out all hours of the day; presumably to deal with the mouthy fans he runs into inbetween games!
Great game, Jyperman. I am lucky to have walked away with a tie. Here's to no serious injuries! ”
